Creative SimVenturers Wanted
Running businesses, even if they are only virtual, can get a bit deep and serious. To lighten the SimVenture experience, be it with Classic or Evolution, we feel it’s important to getaway from the matter at hand and give those all-important creative juices some time and space.
Do you have something to share which reflects your experience with either business simulation? We are looking for creative simventurers to contribute thoughts, ideas, doodles, drawings, designs, poetry, reflective thoughts and more.
As long as it’s clean, we’ll publish your work on this page and credit you with your work.

The Happy SimVenturer
At times I venture to the clouds
My skills to test and dreams to make
I ponder blithely, oft aloud
The host of options there to take
To bide my time, against my urge
Or forge ahead, effect my surge.
Oh fiendish market yet to yield
My fortune yet to make
There seems a level playing field
I gamble all my stake
Ten thousand ‘vested at a stroke
My wager laid I may go broke.
Contiguous decisions fly
Out with all common sense
My business acumen awry
A prayer for recompense
I tried and tried – but little thought
Success could be so hardly wrought.
So oft, when ventures fill my mind
In vacant or in pensive mood
It is the blessed ‘full rewind’
Which bares the gift of chance renewed
SimVenturers this way do earn
No livings lost – but lessons learned.
Paul Brough Jones (with a nod to William Wordsworth)
The CEO of M&S
reviewed the results in horror.
The forecast sales had not been made
Should he quit or borrow?
Eventually he tried his last resort
and in panic phoned his daughter
You are a silly man, she said
You forgot to run the quarter!
